It was a small little thing by Motorola. I hated the thing! I still do, so I one day decided to let it go in trade for an LG500G. This phone I like a whole lot better, not only is it big enough for me to actually talk on, I have a bigger, better LED colored screen. I have my choice of downloading great ring tones either from TracFone's website or anywhere I please. I have better options of games, video cam as well as a nice still photo cam. I have Internet browser, photo sharing and email right to my phone. I can even assign different ring tones to different people's numbers in my contact list, so when the phone rings that tone I know right who is calling me. That makes is easier for me to instantly decide if I want to answer the phone or not, without having to look at the caller ID screen, which is also very handy to have. And if that wasn't enough, I even get a very crisp MP3 player to listen to my selected tunes whenever I wish. I will post a few pictures I have taken personally with this phone so you can see how they turn out. Believe me, seeing is definitely believing. TracFone also includes unlimited double minutes on this phone for the life and service of the phone. After the sale on this phone, from 29.99 to 19.99, which I wasn't aware of the sale so I paid full price, but still it's a great phone and I'm not angry I didn't know, a new phone was brought to the the public offering triple minutes on it; still like I said, this is great phone and I'm not angry one bit at anything else I could have had.
The phone is also app capable. We all know that Facebook, Twitter and Google are king of the Internet, so why not have a phone that really caters to them and you for how you surf the web? I use mine to check the weather frequently; especially now since the weather has been so messed up, it's nice to know what's coming and when, when I cannot be at home on my computer to check the reports. Speakerphone is also a neat little perk the people at LG snuck into this phone; most phones nowadays have that feature, but it's a new one for me since I'm upgrading from a $5 Motorola to a $29.99 LG500G. So if you really want to know what this phone can do and are thinking about buying one, think no longer! Take my word for it, it's a great little phone and I'm glad I bought it. My mother also bought another phone from TracFone, this will be her third. Her new one is a flip phone and she hates it! Now since she has seen my brother's and my phone, yes my brother and I bought the same phone and yes, he knew what phone I was buying, now mom wants one and she's sorry she didn't buy the LG500G the night she bought hers. So with that being said, go out and get yourself a great little phone. : )
(Sorry everyone, I was only able to find one pic on my computer from my phone. It was during Christmas (obviously) at my local SuperKmart store here in Port Huron, MI. Still, you can see quality and clarity with the pic. Not bad at all. I thought me posting it to my blog would make it all pixelated or out of focused, not at all. Not even downloading from my email after sending it there from my phone destroyed the picture. Now that's quality!)
There is only one draw back to the LG500G. You need to look for a third party who offers the software for downloading and uploading media to the phone from your computer. I sometimes will take a picture and send it to my alternate email at Mail.com. It's only takes 1.00 unit to do that, but if you are like some people who really like traveling, taking pictures and videos that 1.00 unit will add up---fast! There is a cable that you can buy for about $12.00 on Amazon.com but as for the software that is a whole another fish to be caught. I'm still looking about the Internet for a reputable download app site that will either give me the software free or for a few bucks but won't drain my wallet. So if you come up with one I can check out, let me know. Hope you enjoyed reading this blog post of the LG500G. There are more reviews where that one came from, so stick around!
